RHO EPSILON OMEGA CHAPTER was chartered on Saturday, January 23, 1988 at the Westboro Marriott by Idell Pugh, North Atlantic Regional Director. More than twenty years later, Rho Epsilon Omega continues to strengthen in membership and works diligently to be of “Service To All Mankind”. Rho Epsilon Omega upholds the ideals of the Sorority by providing college scholarships to students from the Metro West area majoring in math or science. Every year we award four $1,000 scholarships. Through its commitment to the international programs, 10 students from BrightonHigh School participate in the IvyAcademy a mentoring and development program for African American young ladies. Activities include job shadowing, cultural events, and a variety of workshops. In support of the Black Family (F.I.R.S.T. - Families Involved in Redefined Survival Techniques) the chapter has adopted Sage House in Framingham, MA a support home for women in recovery and their children. Chapter members volunteer at Sage House assisting the children with reading and working on art and craft projects. In addition, food baskets are donated to several African American families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. Some of the Chapter’s annual events include: raising money for Multiple Sclerosis, AIDS, Walk for Hunger, and American Breast Cancer walkathons.Rho Epsilon Omega hosted the l992 Cluster V Leadership Conference and co-hosted the 1997 North Atlantic Regional Conference.
